Chamblee is a thriving community just north of Buckhead in DeKalb County, Georgia. With easy access to I-85 and I-285, Chamblee is a popular choice for people looking for a small town feel with an easy commute and easy access to Atlanta. Buckhead is just a few miles south on Peachtree and the Chamblee MARTA station is located in downtown Chamblee. Like Decatur and Norcross, downtown Chamblee was first developed around a railroad station in the early 20th century and features many quaint shops and storefronts with a vintage town square feel. Many of the businesses in this area are a part of the famous Chamblee Antique Row. But in addition to the historical downtown area, business in Chamblee is thriving. Living in Chamblee offers many benefits. There are six public parks in Chamblee including Keswick Park, Clairmont Park and Huntley Hills park, featuring a butterfly garden. The department of Parks and Recreation offers programs such as youth summer camps, soccer and baseball teams and, for adults and families, an annual 5K road race and Independence Day celebration. There are also two branches of the DeKalb County Public library system located the Chamblee- the Chamblee branch and the newly renovated Embry Hills branch.
